Art in the Everyday

Because my work is built upon fragments of the everyday world, it feels natural that the art should also cycle back into my daily life. I translate my collage designs directly into the clothing I make and wear. Wearing fabric made from my collage designs dissolves the boundary between the studio and the public sphere. It functions as an unvoiced manifesto, a way to signal my creative identity without speaking a word. Wherever I go these garments allow me to show up as an artist every day and transform the simple act of dressing into an expression of my visual philosophy.
